Gemmological Research Industries Inc. (GRI) is a consulting company that specializes in the identification, grading and evaluation of gem quality rough, polished and mounted diamonds, gems, research and training of all segments of jewellery industry.
Headed by renowned research gemologist Branko Deljanin, the aim of GRI is to set a new standard in service and knowledge transfer to the diamond and gem industry.

Branko Deljanin is President and Head Gemologist at CGL Canadian Gemlab, Vancouver (Canada). He is a research scientist and gemmologist with extensive experience in advanced testing of gems and diamonds. His early training was at GIA after which he worked for other labs, participated in numerous research projects relating to diamonds and specifically synthetic, treated and pink diamonds. Because of his publications, as a frequent presenter at industry events and as chair of the Mediterranean Gem and Jewellery Conference he has strong connections with the trade and its journal editors. Branko is well placed to understand consumers and lab practices.
Elena Deljanin is a professional gemmologist with extensive experience in colored diamonds as well as rough diamonds from different sources. She conducts research on the morphology of rough diamonds and is highly skilled in the use of traditional and advanced gem testing instruments. These include Visible and FTIR spectrometers which she has applied to diamonds from Canada, China, Brazil, Russia and Africa. Elena is Russian born and a native speaker of the language.
Individually, Branko and Elena Deljanin have impressive credentials, as a team they are a force in the Gem and Gemmology education and consulting industry. They teamed up to teach BrankoGems On-line Academy with highly experienced and professional lab gemologists Dr Lore Kiefert, Germany (top gem expert, origin of gems, treatments, and country of origins), Dan Campbell, USA (former GIA resident Instructor and Education director), Randy Lightfoot, USA (retail gemologist) and international guest lecturers.
