It is not possible to solve the challenges of identifying the quality of gems and diamonds without the coordination and usage of instruments. During his 30-year tenure working at 3 notable laboratories in the USA and Canada in their respective gem identification and research departments, Branko Deljanin has had the opportunity to use many different standard and advanced gemological instruments.

Please see the below list of instruments that he recommends for wholesalers, retailers, gemologists and appraisers in conjunction with his practical booklets in order to assess the identity and quality of the gems or diamonds in question. The recommendation of these instruments are based on personal experience with daily usage at CGL Canadian Gem Lab and at practical workshops for trade. Some of them are designed and manufactured based on Branko’s direct feedback and instructions during his research projects on diamonds and gems.
