Gemetrix has recently developed its latest product to detect lab-grown diamonds. The DOVE is based on deep UV light allowing for simpler analysis of diamonds without the need for comparisons with LW UV, except in occasional instances. The properties of fluorescence colour and phosphorescence are used, aided by viewing with a phone camera. A special tray holds rings, pendants and other jewelry under its 45 x 45 mm viewing area. The DOVE represents the most compact, versatile and lowest cost deep UV system on the market.
