Description
Randall Lightfoot – GG, CGA, CM, RGA
The aim of this talk is to educate and inform jewelry professionals working in the retail sphere of the industry that understanding diamond science is not restricted to research anymore.
With lab-grown diamonds continuing to prove itself as a concern for identification in the market, it is vital that jewelry professionals equip themselves with above-average knowledge of diamond science.
Since achieving his BA in Geology in 2013, Randy has proudly served as a diamond grader for the GIA, practices his mastery of photomicrography of gem inclusions, has contributed to the AGS Spectra magazine for his work on using CPF to identify clues of diamond origin, and is excited to contribute to our industry as a gemologist-appraiser. Randy also serves as the chair of the Mentorship sub-committee with the AGS, sitting on the NAJA education committee, and is passionate about helping those in our industry develop their gemological skills.
