Short Description: The optical, electrical and thermal properties of diamond are influenced by small concentrations of defects. We will explain how research using optical spectroscopy has led to determine whether the colour of a diamond is natural, as-grown or has been produced by treatment. |
Program aims:This program is for diamond dealers, gemmologists, appraisers and retailers to help them to understand increasing number of detection instruments and machines on the market that use different methods for screening/detection of diamonds. |
